Privacy Policy

Bridges Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) recognizes the importance of protecting personal information and complies with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (hereinafter referred to as “the Personal Information Protection Act”). The Company will handle and protect personal information appropriately in accordance with the following Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as “this Policy”). Unless otherwise defined in this Policy, the definitions of terms shall follow the definitions stipulated in the Personal Information Protection Act.

1. Definition of Personal Information

In this Policy, “personal information” shall have the meaning defined in Article 2, Paragraph 1 of the Personal Information Protection Act.

2. Purpose of Use of Personal Information

The Company will use personal information for the following purposes:

  • To provide the Company’s services and products (hereinafter referred to as “the Company’s Services”)

  • To respond to inquiries and provide information about the Company’s Services

  • To notify users of updates to the Company’s terms, policies, etc.

  • To respond to violations of terms or policies related to the Company’s Services

  • To improve the Company’s Services and develop new services and products

  • To analyze browsing history, behavior history, and purchase history to improve services and develop new offerings tailored to preferences

  • For employment management and internal procedures (for employee personal information)

  • For shareholder management and procedures under the Companies Act and other laws (for shareholder-related personal information)

  • To create anonymized statistical data related to the Company’s Services

  • For informational purposes including advertising

  • For other purposes related to the above

3. Change of Purpose of Use

The Company may change the purpose of use within a scope reasonably deemed related and will notify or publicly announce such changes.

4. Limitation of Use

The Company shall not handle personal information beyond the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use without the individual’s consent, except in the following cases:

  • When required by law

  • When necessary to protect life, body, or property, and consent is difficult to obtain

  • When particularly necessary for public health or child development and consent is difficult to obtain

  • When cooperation is necessary for government agencies to carry out legal duties and obtaining consent may impede such duties

  • When providing personal data to academic institutions for research purposes

5. Proper Acquisition of Personal Information

The Company will acquire personal information properly and not through deception or other wrongful means.

The Company shall not collect sensitive personal information without prior consent, except in the cases stipulated in Article 4 or where such information is made public or acquired through visual means, etc.

6. Security Control Measures

The Company takes necessary and appropriate measures to prevent loss, destruction, falsification, and leakage of personal information. Supervisory procedures for employees and contractors are implemented. Key measures include:

  • Appointment of responsible personnel

  • Establishment of procedures at each stage (acquisition, use, storage, deletion)

  • Training and confidentiality requirements for employees

  • Restricted access to personal data and secure storage of media/documents

  • Use of security systems to prevent unauthorized access

  • Verification upon deletion or disposal of personal data

7. Provision to Third Parties

The Company will not provide personal information to third parties without prior consent, except as permitted by law. However, the following cases are not considered third-party provision:

  • Outsourcing within the scope of the purpose of use

  • Business succession due to merger or other reasons

  • Joint use in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act

Provision to foreign third parties is subject to prior consent or compliance with applicable legal standards.

Records of provision and acquisition will be maintained as required by law. The Company may provide user data to partner companies per its service terms.

8. Personally-Related Information

The Company will obtain prior consent before using personally-related information as personal data. The Company will confirm that third parties receiving such information have obtained consent if they will treat it as personal data.

9. Disclosure of Personal Information

Upon request by an individual, the Company will promptly disclose personal data or third-party provision records, unless otherwise required by law.

10. Correction of Personal Information

Upon request, the Company will verify and, if necessary, correct, add, or delete personal data and notify the individual of the result.

11. Suspension of Use or Provision

If personal data has been used beyond the stated purposes or acquired improperly, or provided without consent, the Company will suspend its use or provision after confirming the claim and notify the individual accordingly.

12. Anonymously Processed Information

12.1 – 12.6
The Company will process and handle anonymously processed information in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and will not use it to re-identify individuals.

13. Use of Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Company’s services may use cookies to understand user activity and improve service. Users may disable cookies via browser settings, but some functionality may be affected.

14. Use of External Services

For analytics, the Company may use Google Analytics and its advertising features, including:

  • Google Analytics Remarketing

  • Google Display Network Impression Reporting

  • Google Analytics Demographics and Interests Reports
